North Carolina High School Volleyball - McDowell over R-S Central

October 3, 2019: Marion, NC 28752

In Thursday's non-league contest, the McDowell Titans (Marion, NC) volleyball squad knocked off the visiting R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC), by a margin of 3-0.

Next up, the Titans battle the Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC) in a Northwestern 3A/4A contest, on Monday, October 7. McDowell will attempt to better on its 8-6 season record. The Patriots come into the contest with a 3-11 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Draughn (Valdese, NC).

With the loss, R-S Central drops to 11-7 on the campaign. The Hilltoppers host Asheville Christian Academy (Swannanoa, NC) to battle the Lions in a non-league contest on Monday, October 7. The Lions come into the contest with a record of 13-11.
