January 27, 2009: Monroe, LA 71203 In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Ouachita Parish Lions (Monroe, LA) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Peabody Warhorses (Alexandria, LA), by a margin of 60-50.
The Lions (16-1) will now prepare for their outing against Ruston (Ruston, LA). The Bearcats go into the 5A District 2 outing with a 9-7 record.
The Warhorses now own a 15-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Leesville for a 4A District 3 outing on Friday, January 30. Peabody will encounter a Wampus Cats squad coming off a 103-65 league loss to Alexandria (Alexandria, LA). The Wampus Cats record now stands at 8-12.
