Simsboro Tigers (Simsboro, LA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host North DeSoto Griffins (Stonewall, LA), 77-73 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Simsboro upgrades its record to 15-7 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Forest (Forest, LA) to play the Bulldogs in a B District 3 bout on Friday, January 21. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 2-15. Forest lost 56-46 in their recent non-league bout against Kilbourne (Kilbourne, LA)

Next up, the Griffins play the Fair Park Indians (Shreveport, LA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 21. North DeSoto will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Indians come into the bout with a 8-8 record after their 54-52 non-league win over Washington (Shreveport, LA).
