Danvers Falcons (Danvers, MA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting Winthrop Vikings (Winthrop, MA), 57-50 in a league bout.

With the win, Danvers upgrades its record to 9-7 on the season. The Falcons travel to Swampscott (Swampscott, MA) to play the Big Blue in a Northeastern - Small bout on Tuesday, February 15. The Big Blue go into the bout with a record of 0-12.

Next up, the Vikings play the Gloucester Fishermen (Gloucester, MA) in a Northeastern - Small bout, on Tuesday, February 15. Winthrop will attempt to upgrade on its 10-5 season record. The Fishermen go into the bout with a 7-11 record after their 54-47 non-league loss to Malden Catholic (Malden, MA).
