Ohio High School Basketball - Evergreen nips Pettisville
January 22, 2011: Pettisville, OH 43553 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Evergreen Vikings (Metamora, OH) and the host Pettisville Blackbirds (Pettisville, OH), saw Evergreen's basketball squad hold off Pettisville by a score of 56-50.
With the victory, Evergreen improves its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Vikings host Swanton (Swanton, OH) to meet the Bulldogs in a Northwest Ohio contest on Friday, January 28. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a record of 3-6. Swanton lost 55-50 in their recent league contest against Delta (Delta, OH)
The Blackbirds (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against North Central (Pioneer, OH). The Eagles come into the Buckeye Border contest with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, North Central edged Stryker (Stryker, OH), 52-46, in a league contest.
