Illinois High School Basketball - Peoria prevails Bogan
January 8, 2011: Peoria, IL 61604 Peoria Lions (Peoria, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Bogan Bengals (Chicago, IL), 77-58 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Peoria moves its record to 8-3 on the year. The Lions host Richwoods (Peoria, IL) to face the Knights in a Mid-State 6 game on Friday, January 14. The Knights enter the game with a record of 4-5. Richwoods lost 58-45 in their recent non-league game against West (Normal, IL)
With the defeat, Bogan moves to 6-3 on the year. The Bengals travel to Brooks College Prep (Chicago, IL) to face the Eagles in a Chicago Public Red - South game on Thursday, January 13. The Eagles enter the game with a record of 10-1.
