December 29, 2010: Johnston, SC 29832 In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Strom Thurmond Rebels (Johnston, SC) basketball squad edged the visiting Berkeley Stags (Moncks Corner, SC), by a margin of 50-47.
The Rebels (5-3) will now prepare for their outing against Aiken (Aiken, SC). The Fighting Green Hornets go into the non-league outing with a 10-0 record. In their last outing, Aiken nipped Hephzibah (Hephzibah, GA), 65-63, in a non-league outing.
The Stags now own a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to James Island for a non-league outing on Tuesday, January 4. Berkeley will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 61-42 non-league loss to Taft (Cincinnati, OH). The Trojans record now stands at 8-3.
