Illinois High School Basketball - Mendota edges Somonauk
December 30, 2010: Mendota, IL 61342 The Mendota Trojans (Mendota, IL) basketball nipped the visiting Somonauk Bobcats (Somonauk, IL), 54-47 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Trojans (7-7) will now prepare for their test against St. Bede (Peru, IL). The Bruins go into the NCIC - Lincoln test with a 6-4 record. In their last test, St. Bede got by Indian Creek (Shabbona, IL), 73-62, in a non-league test.
The Bobcats now own a 4-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hinckley-Big Rock for a Little Ten test on Friday, January 7. Somonauk will clash with a Royals squad coming off a 66-60 non-league win over Coal City (Coal City, IL). The Royals record now stands at 3-5.
