Alabama High School Football - Shades Valley held off by Huffman
October 8, 2010: Birmingham, AL 35215 Huffman Vikings (Birmingham, AL) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team hold off the visiting Shades Valley Mounties (Birmingham, AL), 14-7 in a league challenge.
The Vikings (4-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Oxford (Oxford, AL). The Yellowjackets come into the 6A Region 7 challenge with a 3-5 record. In their last challenge, Oxford was tipped by Hewitt-Trussville (Trussville, AL), 16-13, in a league challenge.
The Mounties now sport a 1-7 record. They take the field next when they host Hewitt-Trussville for a 6A Region 7 challenge on Friday, October 15. Shades Valley will meet a Huskies team coming off a 16-13 league win over Oxford (Oxford, AL). The Huskies record now stands at 6-1.
