Arkansas High School Football - Mayflower drops to Barton
October 22, 2010: Mayflower, AR 72106 In Friday's league game, the Barton Bears (Lexa, AR) football team knocked off the host Mayflower Eagles (Mayflower, AR), by a final score of 51-21.
The Bears (6-2) will now prepare for their game against Riverview (Searcy, AR). The Raiders come into the 3A Region 2 game with a 5-3 record. In their last game, Riverview was dropped by Harding Academy (Searcy, AR), 37-7, in a league challenge.
The Eagles now sport a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Arkansas Baptist for a 3A Region 2 challenge on Friday, October 29. Mayflower will meet a Eagles team coming off a 50-13 league win over Rose Bud (Rose Bud, AR). The Eagles record now stands at 7-1.
