Lincoln-Way East Griffins (Frankfort, IL) supporters went home happy Friday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Central Rockets (Burlington, IL), 2-0 in a non-league game.

The Griffins now have a 22-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lincoln-Way North for a SouthWest Suburban game on Saturday, October 13. Lincoln-Way East will meet a Phoenix team coming off a 2-0 league win over Andrew (Tinley Park, IL). The Phoenix record now stands at 14-8.

The Rockets (17-8) will now prepare for their game against Lincoln-Way West (New Lenox, IL). The Warriors enter the non-league game with a 6-10 record. In their last game, Lincoln-Way West dropped by Centennial (Champaign, IL), 2-0, in a non-league game.
