North Carolina High School Basketball - Carolina Day topples Providence Day
February 4, 2017: Asheville, NC 28803 In Saturday's non-league outing, the Carolina Day Wildcats (Asheville, NC) basketball squad beat the visiting Providence Day Chargers (Charlotte, NC), by a margin of 61-52.
The Wildcats (20-1) will now prepare for their outing against Rabun Gap-Nacoochee (Rabun Gap, GA). The Eagles go into the NCISAA Carolinas outing with a 9-12 record. In their last outing, Rabun Gap-Nacoochee was topped by Davidson Day (Davidson, NC), 65-48, in a non-league outing.
The Chargers now own a 20-4 record. They play next when they travel to Cannon for a NCISAA Charlotte Independent outing on Tuesday, February 7. Providence Day will clash with a Cougars squad coming off a 47-20 league loss to Charlotte Christian (Charlotte, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 1-17.
