New Jersey High School Basketball - Hawthorne tops Weehawken
December 28, 2016: Hawthorne, NJ 07506 Hawthorne Bears (Hawthorne, NJ) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Weehawken Indians (Weehawken, NJ), 45-34 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Hawthorne upgrades its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Bears host Lodi (Lodi, NJ) to confront the Rams in a Northwest Jersey - Colonial battle on Tuesday, January 3. The Rams come into the battle with a record of 3-2. Lodi won 31-28 in their recent non-league battle against Saddle Brook (Saddle Brook, NJ)
The Indians (5-1) will now prepare for their battle against Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology (Paterson, NJ). The Lions come into the North Jersey - Meadowlands B battle with a 1-4 record. In their last battle, Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology was toppled by Newark Collegiate Academy (Newark, NJ), 58-14, in a non-league battle.
