March 15, 2012: San Diego, CA 92109 The Patrick Henry Patriots prevailed the host Mission Bay Buccaneers volleyball team by a score of 3-0 in Thursday's league test.
The Patriots now have a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Morse for a Eastern test on Monday, March 26.
The Buccaneers (0-2) will now prepare for their test against Morse (San Diego, CA). The Tigers enter the Eastern test with a 4-3 record. In their last test, Morse dropped by Serra (San Diego, CA), 3-2, in a league test.

The Bucs Mens team continued to improve against the class of the league in Patrick Henry High Thursday afternoon at the Bay. The Bucs continued to improve in a very buisness like manner in all 3 sets. The biggest improvement came from the service line, lead by Senior Garrett Gatstadt with 3 Aces and sparked a comeback in the 2nd set down 17-10 to tie the game at 17. Sr. Adam York and Jr. Brett Ambrose emplored their jump serve for the first time this year, which troubled the Patriot passing lines and allowed the Bucs to challenge in all 3 sets, against a bigger and more experienced squad . Senior Jacob Moreland lead the team in Kills with 6. Sr. Cullen Luckett had 2 blocks, Moreland and York both contributed at the net with 1.5 each. Junior Brett Ambrose did his usual floor work with 6 digs in the back row. Newcomers Nick Palmer and Ander Garner both came off the bench in support.
