Churchill County Greenwave (Fallon, NV) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Fernley Vaqueros (Fernley, NV), 9-8 in a non-league challenge.

The Greenwave now own a 23-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Valleys for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 13. Churchill County will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Lowry (Winnemucca, NV). The Panthers record now stands at 21-2.

With the loss, Fernley falls to 22-14 on the campaign.
