In Friday's league game, the South Tama County Trojans (Tama, IA) football team smashed the host Saydel Eagles (Des Moines, IA), by a score of 56-16.

The Trojans (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Ballard (Huxley, IA). The Bombers come into the 3A District 4 challenge with a 3-2 record. In their last challenge, Ballard was ripped by Boone (Boone, IA), 35-14, in a league challenge.

The Eagles now sport a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Grinnell for a 3A District 4 challenge on Friday, October 4. Saydel will meet a Tigers team coming off a 60-35 league win over Newton (Newton, IA). The Tigers record now stands at 3-2.
