Queens Grant Stallions (Matthews, NC) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Grace Academy Lions (Matthews, NC), 31-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Queens Grant upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Stallions host Langtree Charter Academy (Mooresville, NC) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Friday, December 8. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 2-1. Langtree Charter Academy won 72-31 in their recent non-league bout against Carolina International School (Concord, NC)

Next up, the Lions play the Arborbrook Christian Academy Falcons (Matthews, NC) in a Charlotte Area Christian bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Grace Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 48-27 non-league win over Woodlawn (Davidson, NC).
