Arizona High School Basketball - Valley tops St. Johns

Valley Pirates (Sanders, AZ) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting St. Johns Redskins (St. Johns, AZ), 72-55 in a league bout.

With the victory, Valley upgrades its record to 14-0 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Pinon (Pinon, AZ) to play the Eagles in a 2A North bout on Friday, January 12. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 0-13. Pinon lost 42-39 in their recent league bout against Many Farms (Many Farms, AZ)

Next up, the Redskins play the Round Valley Elks (Eagar, AZ) in a 2A North bout, on Thursday, January 11. St. Johns will attempt to upgrade on its 12-8 season record. The Elks come into the bout with a 11-9 record after their 53-50 league loss to Alchesay (Whiteriver, AZ).
