In Monday's league match, the host Long Reach Lightning basketball team scored a decisive 67-29 triumph over the Hammond Golden Bears.

In their next game, the Lightning meet the Oakland Mills Scorpions (Columbia, MD) in a Howard County match, on Wednesday, January 31. Long Reach will attempt to move on its 11-1 season record.
