In Saturday's non-league match, the host Galena Grizzlies basketball team scored a decisive 69-42 triumph over the Ygnacio Valley Warriors.

In their next game, the Grizzlies meet the Bishop Manogue Miners (Reno, NV) in a 4A Northern - Sierra match, on Tuesday, January 16. Galena will attempt to move on its 8-8 season record. The Miners enter the match with a 10-7 record after their 67-46 league win over Carson (Carson City, NV).
