Maryland High School Basketball - Central nips Largo
January 9, 2018: Capitol Heights, MD 20743 Central Falcons (Capitol Heights, MD) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Largo Lions (Upper Marlboro, MD), 67-61 in a league bout.
With the win, Central upgrades its record to 1-3 on the season. The Falcons travel to Gwynn Park (Brandywine, MD) to play the Yellowjackets in a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A bout on Thursday, January 11. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a record of 5-3. Gwynn Park won 70-38 in their recent league bout against Douglass (Upper Marlboro, MD)
Next up, the Lions play the Crossland Cavaliers (Temple Hills, MD) in a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A bout, on Friday, January 12. Largo will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a 2-5 record after their 47-27 league loss to Douglass (Upper Marlboro, MD).
