January 3, 2018: Higginsville, MO 64037 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Lafayette County Huskers (Higginsville, MO) and the visiting Wellington-Napoleon Tigers (Wellington, MO), saw Lafayette County's basketball squad hold off Wellington-Napoleon by a count of 45-42.
With the victory, Lafayette County upgrades its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Huskers host Knob Noster (Knob Noster, MO) to play the Panthers in a Missouri River Valley - East challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 0-5. Knob Noster lost 50-29 in their recent non-league challenge against Wellington-Napoleon (Wellington, MO)
Next up, the Tigers play the Sweet Springs Greyhounds (Sweet Springs, MO) in a I-70 challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Wellington-Napoleon will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Greyhounds come into the challenge with a 4-7 record after their 41-36 non-league win over Westran (Huntsville, MO).
