December 29, 2017: Norfolk, NE 68701 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Hastings Tigers (Hastings, NE) and the host Norfolk Panthers (Norfolk, NE), saw Hastings's basketball squad hold off Norfolk by a tally of 33-29.
With the victory, Hastings improves its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Kearney (Kearney, NE) to play the Bearcats in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 30. The Bearcats come into the challenge with a record of 5-4. Kearney won 50-39 in their recent non-league challenge against Columbus (Columbus, NE)
Next up, the Panthers play the Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawks (Lincoln, NE) in a A District TBD challenge, on Thursday, January 4. Norfolk will attempt to improve on its 5-3 season record. The Silver Hawks come into the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 41-34 non-league loss to Lincoln East (Lincoln, NE).
