Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Wythe Maroons (Wytheville, VA) and the visiting Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA), saw Wythe's basketball squad wallop Grayson County by a count of 60-31.

With the victory, Wythe upgrades its record to 9-8 on the campaign. The Maroons travel to Bland-Rocky Gap (Bland, VA) to play the Bears in a Mountain Empire challenge on Monday, January 29. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 8-8. Bland-Rocky Gap lost 68-23 in their recent league challenge against Galax (Galax, VA)

Next up, the Blue Devils play the South Warren (Bowling Green, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 27. Grayson County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-15 season record.
