In Wednesday's league match, the host United Lions basketball team scored a tight 48-44 triumph over the Ligonier Valley Rams.

In their next game, the Lions meet the Marion Center Stingers (Marion Center, PA) in a Heritage match, on Friday, January 10. United will attempt to better on its 7-3 season record. The Stingers enter the match with a 9-2 record after their 66-36 league win over Saltsburg (Saltsburg, PA).
