Missouri High School Softball - Kickapoo nudges Republic
September 28, 2018: Springfield, MO 65807 The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the Kickapoo Chiefs (Springfield, MO) and the visiting Republic Tigers (Republic, MO), saw Kickapoo's softball squad nip Republic by a count of 8-7.
The Chiefs now sport a 14-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Nixa for a Class 4 District 11 match on Saturday, September 29. Kickapoo will face a Eagles squad coming off a 10-2 non-league loss to Reeds Spring (Reeds Spring, MO). The Eagles record now stands at 12-14.
With the loss, Republic falls to 15-4 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Logan-Rogersville (Rogersville, MO) to face the Wildcats in a non-league match on Saturday, September 29. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 17-6. Logan-Rogersville won 2-1 in their recent non-league match against Fatima (Westphalia, MO)
