In Tuesday's league battle, the host Aledo Bearcats volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Azle Hornets.

The Bearcats (21-6) will now prepare for their battle against Springtown (Springtown, TX). The Porcupines come into the 4A Region I District 5 battle with a 18-7 record. In their last battle, Springtown achieved victory over Timber Creek (Fort Worth, TX), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Hornets encounter the Birdville Hawks (North Richland Hills, TX) in a 4A Region I District 5 battle, on Friday, October 1. Azle will attempt to advance on its 10-9 season record. The Hawks come into the battle with a 19-13 record after their 3-0 league win over Boswell (Fort Worth, TX).
