September 23, 2010: Downey, CA 90241 The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Downey Vikings (Downey, CA) and the visiting Mayfair Monsoons (Lakewood, CA), saw Downey's volleyball squad beat Mayfair by a tally of 3-0.
With the win, Downey upgrades its record to 4-1 on the year. The Vikings travel to La Serna (Whittier, CA) to play the Lancers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 28. The Lancers go into the bout with a record of 3-1. La Serna won 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Paramount (Paramount, CA)
The Monsoons now own a 0-3 record. They play next when they host Norwalk for a Suburban bout on Wednesday, September 29. Mayfair will play a Lancers squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Calvary Chapel (Downey, CA). The Lancers record now stands at 0-2.
