Alabama High School Football - Lanier defeats Jefferson Davis
October 12, 2012: Montgomery, AL 36104 In Friday's league match, the host Lanier Poets football squad scored a good 30-7 victory over the Jefferson Davis Volunteers.
With the triumph, Lanier improves its record to 3-5 on the campaign. The Poets travel to Central (Phenix City, AL) to battle the Red Devils in a 6A Region 3 test on Friday, October 19. The Red Devils come into the test with a record of 5-2. Central lost 18-17 in their recent league test against Auburn (Auburn, AL)
With the loss, Jefferson Davis drops to 1-7 on the campaign. The Volunteers travel to Opelika (Opelika, AL) to battle the Bulldogs in a 6A Region 3 test on Friday, October 19. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 5-2. Opelika won 21-3 in their recent league test against Smiths Station (Smiths, AL)
