In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Casa Grande Cougars volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Metro Tech Knights.

The Cougars (3-3) will now prepare for their battle against Campo Verde (Gilbert, AZ). The Coyotes come into the 5A - San Tan battle with a 5-12 record. In their last battle, Campo Verde achieved victory over Casteel (Queen Creek, AZ), 3-0, in a league battle.
