Holmdel Hornets (Holmdel, NJ) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Matawan Regional Huskies (Aberdeen, NJ), 61-33 in a league bout.

With the victory, Holmdel upgrades its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Hornets host St. Rose (Belmar, NJ) to play the Purple Roses in a Shore A - Central bout on Saturday, February 20. The Purple Roses come into the bout with a record of 6-1.

Next up, the Huskies play the St. John-Vianney Lancers (Holmdel, NJ) in a Shore A - Central bout, on Monday, February 22. Matawan Regional will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record.
