In Saturday's non-league outing, the Superior Wildcats (Superior, NE) basketball squad edged the host Republic County Buffaloes (Belleville, KS), by a count of 38-36.

The Wildcats (1-0) will now prepare for their outing against Fairbury (Fairbury, NE). The Jeffs go into the non-league outing with a 0-2 record. In their last outing, Fairbury was tipped by Fillmore Central (Geneva, NE), 48-35, in a league outing.
