December 29, 2014: Monroe, CT 06468 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Norwalk Bears (Norwalk, CT) and the host Masuk Panthers (Monroe, CT), saw Norwalk's basketball squad knock off Masuk by a count of 73-57.
With the victory, Norwalk upgrades its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Bears host Trumbull (Trumbull, CT) to play the Golden Eagles in a Fairfield County challenge on Tuesday, January 6. The Golden Eagles go into the test with a record of 2-1. Trumbull won 84-79 in their recent non-league test against Newtown (Newtown, CT)
The Panthers now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Newtown for a Southwest - Colonial test on Monday, January 5. Masuk will encounter a Nighthawks squad coming off a 86-49 non-league win over Torrington (Torrington, CT). The Nighthawks record now stands at 3-2.
