Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Santa Clara Bruins (Santa Clara, CA) and the visiting Monta Vista Matadors (Cupertino, CA), saw Santa Clara's basketball squad knock off Monta Vista by a count of 53-35.

With the victory, Santa Clara upgrades its record to 10-9 on the campaign. The Bruins travel to Saratoga (Saratoga, CA) to encounter the Falcons in a El Camino test on Tuesday, February 3. The Falcons go into the test with a record of 14-5. Saratoga won 51-49 in their recent league test against Cupertino (Cupertino, CA)

The Matadors now own a 7-11 record. They play next when they host Mountain View for a El Camino test on Tuesday, February 3. Monta Vista will encounter a Spartans squad coming off a 41-38 non-league loss to Los Altos (Los Altos, CA). The Spartans record now stands at 4-15.
