Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the South Gwinnett Comets (Snellville, GA) and the host Fellowship Christian Paladins (Roswell, GA), saw South Gwinnett's basketball squad overcome Fellowship Christian by a tally of 60-42.

With the victory, South Gwinnett improves its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Comets travel to Brookwood (Snellville, GA) to confront the Broncos in a AAAAAA Region 8 challenge on Saturday, January 10. The Broncos come into the challenge with a record of 4-13. Brookwood lost 60-50 in their recent league challenge against Central Gwinnett (Lawrenceville, GA)

Next up, the Paladins confront the Whitefield Academy WolfPack (Mableton, GA) in a A Region 6B challenge, on Tuesday, January 13. Fellowship Christian will attempt to improve on its 4-12 season record. The WolfPack come into the challenge with a 10-6 record after their 72-57 league win over Mount Pisgah Christian (Johns Creek, GA).
