Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the Ripley Tigers (Ripley, MS) and the visiting Wheeler Eagles (Wheeler, MS), witnessed Ripley's softball squad tip Wheeler by a count of 7-6.

The Tigers now sport a 3-4 record. They play next when they host Tishomingo County for a 4A Region 1 match on Tuesday, March 5. Ripley will face a Braves squad coming off a 6-2 non-league win over Central (Florence, AL). The Braves record now stands at 6-1.
