In Saturday's non-league contest, the New Castle Trojans (New Castle, IN) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Muncie Central Bearcats (Muncie, IN), by a margin of 25-1.

With the triumph, New Castle moves its record to 1-2 on the year. The Trojans host Shelbyville (Shelbyville, IN) to play the Golden Bears in a Hoosier Heritage contest on Tuesday, April 9.
