In Tuesday's non-league battle, the host Murphy Bulldogs volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Nantahala Hawks.

The Bulldogs (8-1) will now prepare for their battle against Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC). The Black Knights come into the Big Smoky Mountain 1A battle with a 5-3 record. In their last battle, Robbinsville lost by Hayesville (Hayesville, NC), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Hawks clash with the Blue Ridge Bobcats (Cashiers, NC) in a Little Smoky Mountain 1A battle, on Thursday, September 15. Nantahala will attempt to advance on its 0-6 season record.
