In their next game, the Vikings face the Mountain Heritage Cougars (Burnsville, NC) in a non-league game, on Saturday, January 23. Avery County will attempt to move on its 2-1 season record.
With the defeat, Polk County moves to 1-1 on the year. The Wolverines travel to Madison (Marshall, NC) to face the Patriots in a game on Tuesday, February 2. The Patriots enter the game with a record of 1-3.
