Illinois High School Basketball - Moline nips Normal West
February 4, 2017: Moline, IL 61265 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Moline Maroons (Moline, IL) and the visiting Normal West Wildcats (Normal, IL), saw Moline's basketball squad hold off Normal West by a tally of 49-46.
With the victory, Moline improves its record to 15-8 on the campaign. The Maroons travel to Galesburg (Galesburg, IL) to play the Silver Streaks in a Western Big 6 test on Friday, February 10. The Silver Streaks go into the test with a record of 14-12. Galesburg lost 61-46 in their recent non-league test against St. Charles East (St. Charles, IL)
The Wildcats now own a 14-8 record. They play next when they travel to Manual for a Big Twelve test on Friday, February 10. Normal West will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 57-51 non-league loss to Whitfield (St. Louis, MO). The Rams record now stands at 10-9.
