Ankeny Hawks (Ankeny, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Lincoln Railsplitters (Des Moines, IA), 72-64 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Ankeny upgrades its record to 9-11 on the season. The Hawks travel to Dowling (West Des Moines, IA) to play the Maroons in a non-league bout on Friday, February 17. The Maroons go into the bout with a record of 16-5. Dowling lost 48-29 in their recent non-league bout against Hoover (Des Moines, IA)

Next up, the Railsplitters play the Ankeny Centennial Jaguars (Ankeny, IA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 17. Lincoln will attempt to upgrade on its 1-19 season record. The Jaguars go into the bout with a 11-10 record after their 66-55 non-league loss to Johnston (Johnston, IA).
