The St. Mary-Assumption Hilltoppers basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the host Hackensack Comets to 40 in the Hilltoppers non-league victory on Sunday.

The Hilltoppers now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Westfield for a Mountain Valley - Mountain contest on Tuesday, December 20. St. Mary-Assumption will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 83-37 non-league loss to Linden (Linden, NJ). The Blue Devils record now stands at 0-1.

The Comets (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Ramapo (Franklin Lakes, NJ). The Raiders go into the Big North - VI bout with a 2-0 record. In their last bout, Ramapo overwhelmed West Milford (West Milford, NJ), 70-51, in a non-league bout.
