Oregon High School Basketball - South Salem nudges Beaverton
December 6, 2016: Beaverton, OR 97005 South Salem Saxons (Salem, OR) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Beaverton Beavers (Beaverton, OR), 66-65 in a non-league bout.
With the win, South Salem upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Saxons travel to Sprague (Salem, OR) to clash with the Olympians in a 6A Greater Valley bout on Friday, December 9. The Olympians go into the bout with a record of 3-0. Sprague won 96-92 in their recent non-league bout against South Eugene (Eugene, OR)
Next up, the Beavers clash with the Jefferson Democrats (Portland, OR) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 9. Beaverton will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Democrats go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 56-49 non-league win over Lake Oswego (Lake Oswego, OR).
