In Saturday's non-league outing, the Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] Battlers (Gettysburg, SD) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Groton Tigers (Groton, SD), by a count of 56-23.

The Battlers (6-3) will now prepare for their outing against Eureka/Bowdle (Eureka, SD). The Patriots go into the B District 3 outing with a 3-7 record. In their last outing, Eureka/Bowdle was crushed by Herreid/Selby (Herreid, SD), 49-29, in a non-league outing.

The Tigers now hold a 9-3 record. They play next when they host Northwestern Area for a non-league outing on Monday, January 23. Groton will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 70-50 league loss to Leola/Frederick (Leola, SD). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-6.
