Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Gilmer Buckeyes (Gilmer, TX) and the visiting Atlanta Rabbits (Atlanta, TX), saw Gilmer's basketball squad hold off Atlanta by a count of 61-60.

With the victory, Gilmer upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Buckeyes host Kilgore (Kilgore, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 4A Region II District 15 challenge on Friday, January 20. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 4-8.
