North Carolina High School Basketball - Piedmont Community Charter overwhelms Central Academy of Technology and Arts
February 9, 2017: Monroe, NC 28112 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Piedmont Community Charter (Gastonia, NC) and the host Central Academy of Technology and Arts Cougars (Monroe, NC), saw Piedmont Community Charter's basketball squad wallop Central Academy of Technology and Arts by a tally of 67-38.
With the victory, Piedmont Community Charter improves its record to 12-12 on the campaign. The travel to Community School of Davidson (Davidson, NC) to confront the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 14. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 17-7. Community School of Davidson lost 79-73 in their recent league challenge against Mountain Island Charter (Mt. Holly, NC)
Next up, the Cougars confront the Parkwood Rebels (Monroe, NC) in a Rocky River 2A challenge, on Friday, February 10. Central Academy of Technology and Arts will attempt to improve on its 2-21 season record. The Rebels come into the challenge with a 11-12 record after their 64-51 league win over Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC).
