In Friday's non-league challenge, the Loyd Star Hornets (Brookhaven, MS) baseball squad the visiting Enterprise Yellowjackets (Brookhaven, MS), by a final score of 4-1.

With the win, Loyd Star upgrades its record to 7-6 on the season. The Hornets host East Marion (Columbia, MS) to battle the Eagles in a 2A Region 7 challenge on Tuesday, March 29.
