Lowndes Vikings (Valdosta, GA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane (Fitzgerald, GA), 6-3 in a non-league test.

With the win, Lowndes upgrades its record to 17-4 on the season. The Vikings travel to Colquitt County (Norman Park, GA) to battle the Packers in a AAAAAAA Region 1 test on Friday, April 8. The Packers come into the test with a record of 10-9.
