West Union Eagles (Myrtle, MS) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Vardaman Rams (Vardaman, MS), 7-6 in a non-league test.

With the win, West Union upgrades its record to 17-10 on the season. The Eagles travel to Biggersville (Corinth, MS) to battle the Lions in a non-league test on Friday, May 13. The Lions come into the test with a record of 23-5. Biggersville lost 10-0 in their recent non-league test against Tupelo Christian Prep (Belden, MS)

With the defeat, Vardaman falls to 19-7 on the season.
