The Russellville Golden Tigers routed the visiting Giles County Bobcats softball squad by a count of 9-1 in Saturday's non-league battle.

The Golden Tigers (8-5) will now prepare for their battle against East Limestone (Athens, AL). The Indians go into the 5A Area 16 battle with a 8-6 record. In their last battle, East Limestone topped Guntersville (Guntersville, AL), 5-0, in a non-league battle.
